6th Grade: Maps, Charts, and Graphs Quiz Review Questions (+ Answers)

Hello 6th graders:

Please remember that you are allowed to bring one page of notes (only one side with writing, please) to use on the quiz. You are NOT ALLOWED to simply copy and paste these questions, nor to directly copy them. You need to re-write any notes you bring in your own words, and not in question (answer) format like I have used below.

If you do come with your notes in this format you will not be allowed to use them on the quiz.

13. What does 43°W mean? (a line of longitude 43 degrees west of the Prime Meridian

14. What is the difference between latitude and longitude? (Latitude runs side to side, are named by how far away they are from the Equator/Longitude runs up and down, are named by how far away they are from the Prime Meridian)

15. What is the equation used to find percent? (%/100=is/of)

16. What percent is 8 of 15?

17. What percent is 3 of 11?

18. What percent is 9 of 13?

19. What percent is 5 of 17?

20. What percent is 6 of 14?

21. Name the city found at 10°S, 140°E

22. Name the city found at 21°N, 40°E

23. Name the city found at 51°N, 114°W

24. Name the city found at 5°S, 61°W

25. Name the city found at 46°N, 6°E

26. What are the coordinates of the capital of Portugal?

27. What are the coordinates of Luanda, Angola?

28. What are the coordinates of the capital of Chile?
