Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day! (Week of January 18-21)

Hello again:

Wow did that weekend go fast!! :)

Here's what you can look forward to in my class this week:

6th grade: We will continue to look at the European Explorers this week, especially the Dutch and the English. We will have 2 notes days and 2 activity days. Expect your Explorers Quiz at the end of next week!
--

7th grade: I have a very fun Ancient China activity for you to do this week, which will focus on the Shang, Han, and Qin dynasties. (Remember I said we would get through all those dynasties in the next 3 weeks...well, we'll be halfway there on Friday!) We will have only a half class on Wednesday due to the MAP tests (see the schedule here), but it will all work out, I promise! :)
--

8th grade: Are you ready for your quiz tomorrow? Remember, it's no big deal, very short, you may have a half-page of notes with you on the quiz. I am so excited because we are going to start feudalism on Wednesday!!! This is one of my favorite things to read/teach/think about, so I hope you will enjoy it! We will do some ppt/movie stuff this week, and next week (just to get you all pumped up) we will do the hardest thing I will ask you to do all year! (But we'll do it together, so don't worry.)
--

Seniors: Don't forget your newspaper copies on Thursday, and your blog posts are due tomorrow. We will be looking over newspapers in class on Thursday, and on Friday will finalize the pages and their order in the yearbook and make our final page assignments.
--

Everyone, whether from the US or not, thank your lucky stars for freedom and equality.

See you tomorrow!
